Find a Lawyer or Organisation
This service is for people wanting to find a lawyer who can provide legal services for them or someone else.
You may use this service to find the contact details for a particular lawyer or organisation who provides legal services to the public, or to find all lawyers who practise in a particular geographical area and/or a particular area of law. This service does not list lawyers who are not in private practice, such as in-house lawyers.
If a lawyer is listed as a "barrister" he or she will, in some cases, need to be instructed by a barrister and solicitor - if that is the case the barrister will tell you and may help you arrange that.
The Register of Lawyers gives the status and contact details of all currently registered New Zealand lawyers, allowing you to check that a lawyer holds a current practising certificate, and their contact details.
